Grand Challenge – RESTORE
Restoring independence, one movement at a time
The Challenge
There are long waiting lists and rising demand for orthotic services due to an aging population and complex patient needs.
Current wrist-hand orthoses often fail to meet clinical guidelines or user expectations.
Our Solution
A user-led, evidence-based wrist orthosis designed to improve wrist control, comfort and usability.
Features will include optional thumb support, better hygiene, and easier independent use.
Patient & Public Involvement & Engagement (PPIE)
RESTORE will be engaging with orthosis users and key stakeholders, such as prescribers, providers, manufacturers and referrers. Input will also be welcomed from regulatory experts in medical device commercialisation.
