📅 10 June 2026

🏢 Apex City Quay Hotel, Dundee

🕑 9.30 – 16.30

👥 We welcome people to our Gathering from across Tayside and beyond, whether you work in health and social care, industry, a spin out, higher and further education, local authorities, or are interested in what medtech can do for you, your friends and family, and Tayside. Lunch will be provided alongside a Showcase of our Grand Challenge projects.

This year the Gathering 2026 will be different to the Conference 2025, with a meaningful name change to better reflect the event aims and programme of activities.

  • Grand Challenge projects: there will be plenty of dedicated time to explore the projects in our Showcase, try out the devices, talk with the project teams, offer feedback.
  • Project partners: Tay Health Tech’s civic partners will be on hand for discussions and idea generation over the extra long lunchtime session.
  • Discussion panels: why Tayside is the best location for life sciences and biomedical innovation, and on the regulatory side of medical devices, lessons learnt and best advice for all the innovators out there.
  • Keynote: Hazel Dempsey, North of Scotland Innovation Programme Lead, NHS

The location

Dundee is a compact city, with great transport options and links. We’ve partnered with Dundee City Region Convention Bureau to bring you all the information you need.

The Accessible Dundee guide tells you all you need to know about getting to and about Dundee. For events at the Apex, the train station is a 10minute walk along the Riverside Walk, and the bus station is just a 6minute walk. There is also a car park directly at the Apex which is available on a first come, first served basis, with a fee payable. If you’re coming from further afield, here’s a guide to travelling to Dundee.

If you are staying in Dundee and your accommodation is not being organised by Tay Health Tech (we are organising this for our partners and exhibitors only), there is also a handy guide to your accommodation options, which of course include the Apex!

A collection of conference lanyard badges. The lanyards are purple. The badges are white with 4 colour blocks along the top (dark blue, cyan, purple and orange), with the Tay Health Tech logo at the bottom.
