The Challenge

People in Tayside face long travel and wait times for essential mobility assessments, which worsens their condition. Gait evaluation, key for diagnosis and surgery prioritisation, is often unavailable due to resource shortages.

Our Solution

SilverGuardian is a radar-based tool enabling objective, at-home gait monitoring and prioritisation for surgery.

The project explores implementation and user needs to improve access to care, and detect early cognitive decline.

Patient & Public Involvement & Engagement (PPIE)

SilverGuardian will be engaging with people living with osteoarthritis, total knee replacement and Parkinson’s, as well as clinicians.

There will be focus groups, interviews, and alpha testing in a living lan to support software development.
